For example, Sonova owns and manufactures Phonak and Unitron in Warrington, WS Audiology owns and manufactures Widex, Coselgi, Signia and Audio Service. William Demant Holdings owns Oticon and Bernafon both made in Hamilton, Scotland. GN ReSound is the only manufacturer with the one brand.

Something else worth noting is that Sonova also owns 51% of Boots Hearing Care and William Demant owns 100% of Hidden Hearing which must make it difficult for them to be in anyway independent of choice for your hearing care!
